The Sacred Spaces of the Season tour began the way many good community ideas do – with a few neighbors talking after a Strong Towns of Jefferson County meeting. Someone said, “Wouldn’t it be wonderful if all our churches opened their doors on the same night?” and a small group of volunteers decided to make it happen.
When you organize something countywide, you need a home base to share information, host sign-ups, and get the word out. The Strong Towns of Jefferson County website and social media accounts turned out to be the perfect place for that. It’s a space for residents who care about making our towns stronger, more connected, and more alive.
So here we are: a few scrappy volunteers, working together under the Strong Towns of Jefferson County umbrella to bring this joyful, community-minded event to life.
